FORCEFLEX Adjustable Hall Effect Joysticks
The Direwolf 4 uses Flydigi’s FORCEFLEX Hall Effect joysticks, designed to provide precise magnetic sensing while reducing the wear associated with traditional potentiometer-based sticks.
A physical adjustment ring allows joystick tension to be tuned from approximately 40gf to 80gf. Lighter settings provide faster movement, while higher resistance can offer greater control for precise aiming and racing. Flydigi rates the joystick mechanism for approximately 10 million cycles.
FORCESWITCH 2.0 Triggers
The Direwolf 4 features FORCESWITCH 2.0 triggers, allowing players to switch between two trigger behaviours.
Linear Mode: approximately 9mm of travel for progressive analog control in racing and simulation games.
Micro Mode: approximately 0.7mm travel for faster actuation in FPS and action games.
This allows the controller to adapt quickly to different gaming genres without requiring software-based trigger changes.
1000Hz Polling Rate
The Direwolf 4 supports polling rates of up to 1000Hz in performance connection modes, allowing frequent input reporting for responsive gameplay.
This makes it particularly suitable for fast-paced PC games where reduced input delay and consistent control are important.
Tri-Mode Connectivity
The controller provides three connection methods:
2.4GHz Wireless
Bluetooth
Wired USB-C
This allows the Direwolf 4 to work across gaming PCs, Nintendo Switch systems, Android and iOS devices, laptops, and other compatible platforms.
Hybrid 8-Way D-Pad 2.0
Flydigi equips the Direwolf 4 with its upgraded Hybrid 8-Way D-Pad 2.0, designed to provide accurate cardinal and diagonal directional inputs.
The improved pivot structure makes it suitable for fighting games, platformers, retro titles, and other games that depend heavily on precise D-pad control.
Quiet Silicone Buttons
The main face buttons use quiet silicone switches, providing softer and quieter actuation compared with clicky mechanical designs.
The button system is designed for extended everyday gaming and is rated for millions of actuations.
2 Programmable Rear Buttons
Two large programmable rear buttons provide additional control without requiring players to move their thumbs away from the analog sticks.
Through Flydigi’s software, these buttons can be configured for frequently used commands and macros.
Dedicated Rapid-Fire Control
The Direwolf 4 includes a dedicated physical rapid-fire control for games where repeated button inputs are useful.
This provides quick access to Turbo-style functionality without relying entirely on software configuration.
6-Axis Motion Control
A built-in high-precision 6-axis motion sensor enables motion-based control in compatible games and platforms.
This can be used for gyro aiming and motion input where supported.
Dual Asymmetric Vibration
The controller uses dual asymmetric vibration motors to provide varied feedback intensity across different in-game effects.
This enhances immersion during racing, action, shooting, and other supported games.
800mAh Rechargeable Battery
The Direwolf 4 contains an 800mAh rechargeable battery, providing substantial capacity for extended wireless gaming sessions.
The controller can be charged through USB-C or through the optional dedicated charging dock, depending on your setup.
Flydigi Space Station
The Direwolf 4 is supported by Flydigi Space Station, allowing users to configure compatible settings such as:
Button Mapping
Macros
Motion Control
Joystick Settings
Trigger Settings
Firmware Updates
